Physical Hardware

PIXELFALLS is built for a classic fantasy-console dream: make a game in the browser, then play it on real hardware with a physical cart. That hardware side is still an early prototype — but it already runs, and people keep asking when they can buy one.

Prototype — Not for Sale Yet

There is no store, shipping date, or pre-order. I am developing a Raspberry Pi–based prototype with physical game cartridges. Everything here is early, hands-on, and changing as I learn what matters most to makers and players.

Same Games, Real Hardware

  • Create and share in the browser today at create.pixelfalls.co.uk
  • Games live in PNG carts — code, sprites, maps, and audio in one file — built for easy backup and hardware-friendly packaging
  • The long-term goal: drop a cart into a PIXELFALLS machine and play what you made online

First Public Outing

At Brighton & Hove Comic Con (September 2026), visitors played demos on the prototype hardware and handled early cartridges. Many asked where they could buy the console and games — even knowing it was still a very early build. That interest is a big part of why this page exists.

If physical PIXELFALLS hardware is something you would want for yourself, a club, or a classroom, I would love to hear from you — what you would use it for, and what would make it worth waiting for.
